We adopted 'Linda', now Sasha - from the Oswego Animal Hospital on October 5, 2009. Sasha was very shy at first, and even frightened after we brought her home. We had set up her supplies in the laundry room. She was about 5 1/2 months old at the time. The first few days were a bit rough, but pretty soon Sasha would come out to play with her toys, and it wasn't long before she was following us all over the house and sitting in our laps. She has become a very loving companion. She loves our 10 year old daughter. She has a very funny personality, she has a favorite toy mouse that she'll carry in her mouth all over the house. She likes to flip it up in the air and then pounce on it. She is a very well behaved cat, she uses her scratching boards and posts, and allows me to clip her nails. Sasha has become a very important part of our family and we love her dearly. Thank you for allowing us to provide Sasha with her loving forever home. Sincerely,Sasha

We adopted Trixie in December 2009 after having put our dog to sleep due to old age. It's a big adjustment to having a young dog (8 months) when coming from an old dog (13 yrs). But Trixie has adapted into our life quite well and our children absolutely adore her. We kept the name Trixie because it suited her so well. She has a crate to sleep in at night and when we are not home and she will happily "go to bed." Trixie loves to play! Her favorite toy is our cat, although she doesn't really like it as much as Trixie. Trixie also LOVES to be outside and we have a very hard time getting her back inside. We have 3/4 of an acre (fenced in, of course) and she will just run and run and run. She has learned to get the newspaper, although, instead of bringing it to us, she uses it as a chew toy! Sincerely,Trixie

We set out to find a puppy to fill our life with happiness and were lucky to find a sweet little puppy on Petfinder.com. My fiance was jobless at the time with no luck finding one and was getting a little sad about it. The dog we found uplifted his spirits and has given us so much joy. She is everything we could ask for in a dog and we are so happy we adopted. Her name is Abby and she is lab, pointer, terrier mix. She has a unique personality to match her unique breed, behaving like a clown hopping around and snuggling as close as possible for naps. We love her and hope others will adopt and be just as lucky as us. Moy Family

Sophi is the sweetest, kindest dog we could ever have hoped to have found. She seems to have just been waiting for us, as she is a perfect fit for our family. We are so happy to have found such a wonderful dog. We love her very much! Sheri and Sara AldarondoSophi

It's been 6 months since we adopted Jethro (formerly known as Meatloaf) from the Plainfield Animal Care Center and he has adjusted well. When we adopted him he had 2 surgeries for his cherry eye which were done by the Animal Care Center. They found him wandering on his own with swollen eyes. We are so happy that they took him in and gave him the help he needed. After losing our 8 1/2 year old bulldog, Ike, we felt lucky to be able to rescue Jethro. He has made himself at home and brings a smile to everyone's face! He loves to go for walks through the woods and has to say hello to any other dog that he sees. Above is a picture of him on his Sunday morning walk. Jason and Dyan Page
