Finn

I am writing to thank you for Pete, now called Finn. Finn is the sweetest, kindest, most loving dog I have ever met. I can't believe that I have only had him for two weeks, he seems like he has always been a part of my family. He is always happy and extremely well behaved. From day one he has enjoyed sleeping on his new bed through the night and loves when we play click games to learn new skills, he is a great student! I hate to even think of what could have been Finn's fate had your group not rescued him from Kentucky. He is just a joy and everyone who meets him falls in love with him.

I admire Help Save Pets and all of your volunteers and really respect what you are doing for these dogs. Finn is a great part of my family aleady and I couldn't imagine life without him.

Tim

My family and I cannot thank you and the Help Save Pets enough. Tim, our new dog, is doing so well. He receives/gives more love than anyone could imagine, he has moved right in. He is such a wonderful dog and brings so much joy to our family, thank God we did not lose him. He is the biggest snuggly baby ever. We really got lucky with Tim, and he is the focus of our lives everyday.

Cotton

She was named Cleo at the shelter, but we renamed her Cotton to go with our previous cats (Lace and Leather). When she first arrived, Cotton was silent, and I wondered whether she would ever make a sound. She would stare at us quizzically, which often made me a little uncomfortable. But Cotton was just observing, figuring out how to fit in.

Now Cotton is a real part of the family. She goes where we go: when we eat, she eats. When we sleep, she sleeps with us. She loves to chase and be chased, and is excited when children visit so she can play longer. She really fits in here.

Ernie

I wanted to give a big "THANKS" for bringing Ernie into my parents lives. He has turned out to be a blessing for more than just my Dad. My mom has been taking him for walks and getting lots of exercise. Ernie has been her motivation for a walk around the block. My brother Tom has also taken to him. They were pretty much instant buddies.

Ernie will be well loved and will have a home in our hearts through to his old age.

Lovey

Christmas Eve, I adopted a kitty from the Oswego Animal Hospital. She is black and white, with no tail, and the name on her cage was Lovey. I know how hard it is to find homes for older cats. After introducing her to my mini aussie, who loves his kitty at home, I decided to adopt this tail-less kitty. I picked her up Saturday after Xmas, and headed home to Iowa. After getting her home, I observed that she wasn't built like an average cat. After doing some investigation, I believe she is a Manx. I have friends that are familiar with the breed, and they agree. She is so sweet, and having all four feet declawed, she must have been someone's pet. I absolutely love her.

This is Polly. We adopted her from the Help Save Pets as a puppy about 4 years ago and are truly blessed she came into our lives. She's an angel and is a very sweet and friendly - not to mention extremely smart! She does think she's the "cat's meow," as she always sits with her legs crossed and flirts with all the neighborhood dogs! She would have been euthanized as a puppy if not for this humane society! Adopt from the Humane Society!

In December 2009 I adopted Itsy, but soon after her named was changed to Mitzi, more fitting the princess she is. I have never known a nicer Chihuahua mix. She is so happy, playful,and loving...she NEVER (well, hardly never) barks, and is sooooo warm in bed. I always said I wouldn't let the dog sleep with us, but I couldn't resist. She is a delight!!!!!
