Someone who transports animals on the Rescue Railroad sent us a heartwarming video. Thank you to our great group of drivers who go out of their way week in and week out to get our rescued cats and dogs to us (even in the snow!). This video is for each and every person who tries so hard to save just one dog. What a beautiful story. We hope you love it as much as we did.
Special thanks goes to the volunteers who dedicated their precious Saturday time to show animals and answer questions about help save pets at Dollinger Farms on Saturdays October 20 and 27. The interest in the animals was great and a total of $ 237 was collected. Three of the seven dogs at the event on October 20 have been adopted!!!
The volunteers who helped include: Frank, Mindy and Jackson Judd, Dave and Linda Sobieski, Hillary Hammer, Jamie Surdynski, and Dean and Nancy Gearhart.
Homer also made an appearance both dates and many of the kids liked the "BIG" dog who just happen to have candy.
Also Dr. Mark from Mallard Point Veterinary Clinic joined Help Save Pets on October 27.

The Volunteer Picnic 2012
In September 2012, we held our Volunteer and Foster Appreciation Event. Thanks so much to all of those who worked to pull this event together to let everyone know how important they are! Below are some pictures of the event. Award winners were Liz Gattone, Maya Raab and Rebecca Pearson. Great work everyone!!!
HPS's 1000th Adoption in 2009!
Sweet puppy Abigail went home to a family on Saturday Nov. 21st!
Special Thanks to our staff and volunteers!
This November, HSP would like to recognize some of our hard working volunteers by giving out the PERDY and KISS awards! (left to right) Donna Duckmanton, Lucy Poyser, Maggie Vandermeer, Sue Thorsen. Maggie V presents the awards to Donna D for her assistance to HSP. Donna is a groomer for the Animal Care Center and selflessly offers her skills and time to clean up some of our most neglected animals. Lucy P and Sue T are adoption counselors in Help Save Pets, but do much more. They assist in the filming of our TV show, they transport animals and participate in community events.
Thank you so much!
